1. Background
The Information Technology Center of HCMUTE, which is a non-profit public unit subordinate to HCMUTE, was established on October 4th, 1990.

2. Misson:
Building and organizing the implementation of the plan to develop the Center in accordance with the plan for education development of the nation and local jurisdiction, and HCMUTE. 

3. Functions:
- Providing training services, cooperation or joint training in the IT field such as: applied IT, continuing education curricula with, other IT training programs (skills and knowledge essential to software development, software project management, network implementation and administration, information safety and security, game programming, mobile programming, effective software use, etc.)
- Organizing tests awarding national IT certificates to adequate candidates in tests administered by the Center in compliance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Providing IT-related services in response to society need such as customized IT training contract, software development to order, contract of safety and security guarantee and consulting, IT system security (network, website, workstations, etc.); and other services in the field of IT.
